Baby Ethan's Arrival

Perfect. Adorable. Cute. Good sleeper (just hasn't learned when sleeping is desired, like at night as opposed to the day). Insatiable appetite. Fan club president (for now): Camille, older sister. That's our little guy! He came into the world at 11:17 AM on 11/1/11. Truth be told, I did look at the clock, at 10:40 and thought, oh, it really could be 11:11 on11/1/11! But, I let go of that trivia and just proceeded with no other agenda but meeting this little guy. He weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long and came out screaming! Each time he screamed, Eric and I used that opportunity to look for that good ol' uvula! While we did not see it, his sucking reflex was proof indeed of its presence.

We are in that getting-to-know you, getting-to-know-us phase of early life, with lots of joyful moments and then those moments when you remember what sleep deprivation feels like. But, it's all worth it for this cutie pie!

And here are pictures from the hospital. Camille was so cute, she walked in tip-toeing saying, "oh is that my baby Ethan?" Later, when I was holding him and he was looking up at me, she said, "Awww, Mommy, he likes you!" And yes, 48 hours later, she inquired, "Can we put him back in your tummy?" But, all and all, we are pretty sure Camille approves.
